SO YOU THINK YOU’RE A CREATIVE?
A short film exploring what it means to be a creative, told through the banter and tension of a friend group put to the test. Written and directed for SendYourETA Collective.
The Brief
Promote SendYourETA Collective's Black History Month panel in a way that was scroll-stopping, cinematic, and true to the community's creative identity, going beyond a standard event graphic.
The approach
Concepted and wrote a scripted short film as the event trailer, a format ETA had never used before, built around a single question: what does it mean to be a creative?
Sourced and secured the videographer and cast of actors independently through direct outreach
Directed the full shoot on the day, guiding actors through each scene, providing real-time feedback, and collaborating closely with the videographer to execute the vision
The OUTCOME
The trailer generated 21K organic views across socials and marked the first scripted production in SendYourETA Collective's history, setting a new creative standard for how the collective shows up online.
